Specialist Resourced Provision
Our school has three Specialist Resourced Provisions for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties. The Lighthouse is an assessment placement in the nursery, The Harbour is for Reception and Key Stage One children in the Infant school and the Ocean is for Key Stage Two children in the Junior school.
Children spend time both in their mainstream classes and in the SRPs. The children have lots of fun learning numbers, words and letters. Social skills and skills of independence are taught throughout the day, the children learn play skills with their friends. Physical activities are an important part of our school day. We have weekly Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy and these therapies are an integral part of our daily curriculum. For more information please contact either Mrs Corbett, who is head of our provision (Infants School) or Mrs Urry, who is head of the provision(Juniors School).
